Experts differ on whether you should hire a professional resume writer or write your own. It’s wise to turn to a professional resume writer when you are not getting interview calls like you would expect with your experience or you don’t have the time to do it yourself & would rather have a professional write it for you than not having a resume to share when you need it.

Most clerical services will be able to format your content well, ensure there are no grammatical errors or typos & are inexpensive, however, a professional resume writer knows how to market you to employers, understands the recruitment process, & coaches you.

The best way to do so is to get a referral, either from a satisfied customer or from someone in the business — a recruiter or an employment agency. You may also ask for testimonials of a satisfied customer. If its’ someone you are connected with on LinkedIn, check recommendation on their profile for what people have to say about them.
